Oathbreaker
STIGIA... is a band created in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, in the year 1997, focused since the beginning on the composition of original music with death, black, atmospheric and heavy metal influences; combining riffs, percussion and keyboards. Previously called Stigia —with an "i"—, a really short career, 4 unreleased compositions and only 3 live performances in the city, disintegrated in 1999.
In December 2021, two of the founding members decided to restart the project. Having been busy with their jobs and routines, they resume their respective instruments, keeping the name STYGIA —this time with the letter "Y"— in honor of the member who gave the band its name, Enrique Flores (keyboards), who died in 2011.
At the beginning of the video, what is heard is a real live recording from 24 years ago, of the song that the band took, worked on, and sought to improve. Images and scenes from a VHS video preserved, from one of the gigs from those years, were also included.
December 8, 2021, was the day the band re-started. 2023, a year and a half later, this is the first result.
In Memoriam.
